Together with our Green Energy Partners, South Head Energy Corp offers Green Energy Solutions that include Solar, Wind, Geothermal and Battery Energy Storage.  Additionally, our company can provide Renewable Energy Certificates.  We are also working toward participating in the Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) market.    

South Head Energy Corp (SHEC) and CMI Group Inc (CMIG) are pleased to announce our new Joint-Venture, Island Rock Energy Corp (IREC). IREC aims to deliver "Clean and Green Energy Solutions" to Canada, the USA and beyond if and when feasible.  This Canada Corporation was established on November 14, 2025, and its inspiration is its namesake, Island Rock, which is located just a couple hundred feet from the old South Head Light House, near Lark Harbour, Bay of Islands, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

In order to access the narrow entrance to South Head Lighthouse Cove, Lightkeepers from Lark Harbour navigated between Island Rock and the mainland as it offered protection from rough seas. This robust rock is about 80 feet in length, including submerged bits, and sits just 20 feet offshore.  Because of Island Rock's enduring strength and its unique connection to the South Head Light House story, we are honoured to name our JV after it - as this JV is also a testament to an enduring and persevering spirit.
